The archive is organised around contemporary comics that engage with conceptual writing, infrastructural critique, appropriation, and the materiality of the medium. Entries include works by Ilan Manouach and selected international contributors. Each is photographed cover to cover and accompanied by metadata and a critical introduction, either drawn from the publisher’s release or written for the archive. The two outlets play complementary roles. The UbuWeb collection sits within Kenneth Goldsmith’s long-running archive of the avant-garde and emphasises radical practice. The Monoskop collection sits within Monoskop’s wiki and reference apparatus and emphasises documentation, infrastructural critique, and the histories of conceptual practice — linking each entry into adjacent fields. Both are open-access and non-commercial.
